St George's Day Club
A private members club welcoming gentleman across the nation to celebrate in upholding everything that is great about England.
Where we began
It all started with a founding lunch.
On 23rd April 1972, twenty six true Englishmen held a Lunch in Pinner to celebrate St George's Day.
The St George's Day Club began its journey at that lunch.
We now have a thriving membership of over eleven hundred members.
Every year at our lunch at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane London, we have in excess of 1700 guests enjoying their St George's Day celebration lunch.

Brig. Kevin Beaton
A Medical Doctor by background Brigadier(retd) Kevin Beaton OBE enjoyed a varied career with the military during which he had multiple operational deployments and enjoyed the privilege of being a Queen's Honorary Physician. He is currently a Government Military Adviser in the Middle East. Previous to this he was the Medical Director of an NHS Trust.

Michael Betteridge
Mick joined the Royal Marines in 1985 and after initial Commando training Mick was posted to 42 Commando. He was awarded the Queens Gallantry Medal in 1985 and made an MBE in 2000.
Mick is married to Carol, a retired RN Captain who works for Help for Heroes as the Head of Welfare and Clinical services, with 3 daughters at University studying Law, Veterinary Medicine and Biomechanical Engineering.

Neil Wagstaff
Retired Royal Navy Captain now working in the Health Sector. 3 passions in life, Family, Fitness and Forest (Nottingham).
Been coming and enjoying St George’s Day functions since 2015 so much that he joined the committee in 2020 to try and make them even better

Jason Fielden
Jason has worked as a property developer for the past 20 years. Interests include running and cycling, Japanese sports cars and mentoring new start up businesses.

Mark Christian
Mark has been chaplain to the club since 2004. He serves as both membership secretary and also as almoner. He has a small parish in North West Hampshire, is chaplain to Hampshire Army Cadet Force and to Hampshire Royal British Legion amongst other voluntary work.

Tim Chapman
After 15 years in the alcohol trade Tim now works for Weetabix looking after sales into our country’s supermarkets. Tim is a member of Lord’s & MCC and a passionate member of the Barmy Army following the England Cricket team on their away Test Match tours. Turn on your Sky/BT Sport coverage and you’ll see him on the grass banks of cricket grounds around the world singing Jerusalem at the start of every day’s play!

Former Royal Marine of 24 Years Dixie now runs several companies around the world with a strong security background. Now living in the Southwest.

Colin Farmer
Married to Sheila, 2 daughters and granddaughter. Retired Chartered Accountant, now working as a consultant. Season ticket holder to Harlequins. A total rugby 'tart', will watch any team, anywhere! Retired semi-pro drummer.

After a successful 30-year career in the Royal Navy, Darren now works as a Ministry of Defence Fleet Operational Standards and Training Team instructor based at HM Naval Base Clyde.
